Faith Without Limits
And Paul said, “Whether short or long, I would to God that not only you but also all who hear me this day might become such as I am—except for these chains.”
Acts 26:29
Paul’s words are so powerful here. Standing in front of rulers, soldiers, and onlookers, he didn’t shrink back or soften his message. He boldly declared his desire that everyone listening would come to faith in Christ. He was unapologetic. Paul didn’t care if it sounded too bold, too strange, or too much—he believed in the God who created the universe, and that belief shaped everything he said and did.
And honestly, that’s the heart of our own faith, too. If we believe God really is who He says He is—the all-powerful Creator—then nothing in His Word is beyond belief. The flood, the Red Sea, the virgin birth, the resurrection—none of it is too much when viewed through the lens of God’s power. The real question isn’t could it happen, but do we trust the God who made it happen?
Too often, we try to shrink miracles down until they make sense to our human minds. But miracles were never meant to fit in a neat box. They exist to remind us that God is greater, higher, and more powerful than we could ever imagine. If we say we believe, then our faith can’t be partial or selective—it has to rest fully in who God is.
We should pray that God will give us the kind of bold, unshakable faith Paul had and keep us from doubting His Word or trying to water it down so it fits into our own reasoning. We must learn to rest in the truth that nothing is too hard for Him.
This week, let’s each take time to examine our faith. Are there parts of Scripture you treat as “too far-fetched” or “just symbolic” because they don’t fit into human logic? Surrender those doubts to God. Ask Him to grow your trust in His power and His Word, and like Paul, look for opportunities to share your faith confidently with the people around you.
