Acts: 28:23 ESV
When they had appointed a day for him, they came to him at his lodging in greater numbers. From morning till evening he expounded to them testifying to the kingdom of God and trying to convince them about Jesus both from the Law of Moses and from the Prophets.

The small rented home in Rome was crowded that day. Word had spread that Paul—this bold man who claimed Jesus was the Messiah—was willing to explain the Scriptures from morning until evening. Despite his chains, his eyes were bright, his voice steady, and his heart burning with urgency.

The room grew quiet as Paul unrolled the scroll of Isaiah. His finger traced the words, “He was pierced for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities.” He looked up, locking eyes with his Jewish brothers. “This is not just poetry,” he said gently. “This is Jesus. You know the story of His crucifixion. You’ve heard the reports. These words were written hundreds of years before it happened—God planned it all.”

Some leaned forward, curious, almost convinced. Others crossed their arms, doubtful, unwilling to accept such a claim.

Paul moved next to the Psalms, his voice firm but tender. “Psalm 22 says, ‘They have pierced my hands and feet… they cast lots for my clothing.’ Do you see it? That’s the cross. That’s exactly what the soldiers did. Brothers, these are not coincidences. These are God’s promises fulfilled in His Messiah.”

Hours passed, yet Paul never tired. Scripture after Scripture, he wove the Law and the Prophets into a single tapestry that pointed straight to Jesus. “The Messiah is not only the hope of Israel,” he said, “but the Savior of the whole world—Jews and Gentiles alike.”

By nightfall, the room was divided. Some hearts softened, eyes shining with faith. Others hardened, turning away in frustration. Paul sighed, not in despair, but with trust. His task was not to force belief—only to testify.

Years later, his words would still echo: the Bible, from beginning to end, points to Jesus. Every story, every prophecy, every promise leads to Him.

And just like Paul, we are given the same calling. To open the Scriptures and ask, “How does this point me to Jesus?” Then, to share it in ways our friends, family, and co-workers can understand. We cannot control how they respond—but we can be faithful in pointing to Him.

This week, each time you open your Bible, pause and ask, “How does this passage point me to Jesus?” Then share one simple truth with someone in your life. Like Paul, let your words and your life keep pointing back to Him.
