Fall into the right hands
“It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”
Hebrews 10:31 (ESV)
At the end of our lives, we all face God’s judgement. Based on our lifestyle and decision-making, we will either go to heaven or hell. There is no third option. We would rather face God’s good side than suffer His wrath. We should live a life pleasing to God, rather than one that would make Him upset, disappointed, or even angry.
Every action we take or word we say on this earth will have an eternal impact. Whether we realize it or not, we will all be judged for what we have done. The good news for us Christians is that we won’t suffer eternal punishment. We have made a choice to follow a loving God who wants to be with us for an eternity. It’s not that a loving God chooses to send us to hell, is that those who are unloving choose to suffer for their consequences.
God gives us all a choice. Let us be wise and make the right one. We want to walk the path that pleases the Lord, because He has complete authority over where we spend the rest of our lives. So this week, pray that we can be more urgent as Christians in our evangelism, so others won’t face the final judgement of eternal punishment and suffering.
