He answers us
Psalm 138:3 (ESV)
“On the day I called, You answered me; my strength of soul You increased.”
Don’t you hate it when you call someone and they don’t answer? After a few rings, you are taken to their voicemail. If you don’t leave a voicemail, then we typically send the person a text message. Then we have to wait for their response. In a world where everyone wants everything right away, communicating with someone can be frustrating. With God, communication is the opposite. Talking to our Lord and Savior is true bliss.
It is wonderful to know that no matter when or where we call upon God, He always answers. He may not give us the answer we want, but He will always answer us. He may not reveal His answer to us right away, but He always gives an answer. It’s amazing that the creator of the universe is always wanting to talk to us. He genuinely listens to us. Can you say that about anyone nowadays?
Sometimes we’re too busy to talk to others or to God. Things come up. We run personal errands and never leave any time for anyone else but ourselves. What can motivate us to talk to God is the blessings we receive from Him when we do reach out. Psalms says He strengthens our soul. That is something no one in this world can do for us.
If you feel like you need someone to talk to, don’t hesitate to reach out to God. Search for Him and you will find Him waiting to have a conversation with you. He listens to our cries. He answers our prayers. There is no one like Him. Reach out to your local church leaders to see how you can get involved in helping others call out to God. Let the Holy Spirit guide you in all forms of communication, whether it’s with the Lord or with your fellow neighbors.
This week, take some time to call out to God, so He can strengthen your soul. Embrace the love He gives you through His conversations in Scripture.
