God’s got this
Lord, you are my God; I will exalt You and praise Your name, for in perfect faithfulness You have done wonderful things, things planned long ago, faithful and sure.
Isaiah 25:1 (ESV)
This verse in Isaiah is a reminder that God is in control. Despite this truth, we find ourselves slowly trying to share that control. It’s not easy to see when we are trying to take back some measure of control. It’s a gradual thing.
When we go through a tough time, it’s hard to see all of God’s wonderful things. Instead of letting our current situation spiral out of control and make us even more miserable, we need to take some time to sit and think about how God has touched us in the past.
A practical way we can accomplish that is making a list of wonderful things that we should be thankful for. Take time to realize that He does care about us. Look over your list and read the amazing things God has done for you in your life. We have to remain faithful through the lowest of our valleys.
As Jesus Christ said in the gospels, He will still be ever present. He will always be there for us, even until the end of the age. We are called to believe in Him. We must accept the fact that Jesus will never leave us nor forsake us. That is how He shows us that He is always in control.
God has done wonderful things and He will continue to do wonderful things. Everything that happens is planned by Him. He knows everything that will happen and yet He tells us not to worry or be anxious about anything in Philippians 4:6. Let us take comfort in that notion.
This week, make a commitment to continuously pray to the Lord. Make Him your Savior. This is the best way to find peace in your life.
